Welp, that was quick, and that went EXACTLY as expected. After weeks of crap talk, shoves, accusations, taunts… Daniel Cormier rocked Cummins with a brutal uppercut, dominated him physically in the clinch, then bullied him like he meant absolutely nothing to him, ultimately finishing the late-replacement for Rashad Evans in a matter of seconds.
It wasn’t great for Cummins.
Still, he sold the fight, and Cormier did what he had to do and dominated the fight, so it’s still kind of a win-win except for the nearly 35-year-old Cormier, who still likely needs another win at light heavyweight to get a shot a Bones’ belt, but that works out with Teixeira and glover still in his way.
