A little bit of country is headed over to the middle east as Roy Nelson looks to land some thunder and lighting against MMA legend Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira this Friday April 11th in Abu Dhabi. Nelson in talking with our Layzie The Savage admitted that this was a fight he has wanted for a very long time:

“I’ve been wanting to fight Big Nog since he has been in the UFC; right after he got the belt and beat Randy. I’ve kinda been feinding for a fight with Big Nog because he is a legend.”

Now in the twilight of his career, Nogueira is looking to bounce back from his submission loss to Fabricio Werdum in June of last year. Another loss will strengthen the calls from many fans asking for the former UFC and Pride champion to hang up the gloves. Big implications could be in store for Nelson as well as he heads into Abu Dhabi with two straight losses and one more could see his walking papers from the UFC.

It happens April 11th in Abu Dhabi and you can only watch it on Fight Pass; which quite frankly is retarded. A fight of this magnitude involving a former MMA heavyweight champion should be shown to those who don’t have Fight Pass. But whatever, See what Nelson has to say about the fight below.
