Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Fabricio Werdum To Coach Second Installment of Ultimate Fighter: Brazil

The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil is gearing up for a second season as a pair of Brazilian veterans have signed on as coaches for the coming season. Former Pride and UFC Heavyweight Champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Fabricio Werdum are slated to coach two teams of their countrymen, focusing on the welterweight division. The season is scheduled to begin filming early in the coming year with a debut in March of 2013. Like the first installment, the series is set to air on Globo in Brazil, while UFC.com and FUEL TV will run it in the United States.

The two coaches will meet after the season in a rematch of a 2006 PRIDE Openweight Grand Prix bout.

Nogueira is 6-4 since their last meeting, having held the interim UFC Heavyweight Championship. “Minotauro” recently came off of a long injury layoff behind having his arm broken by Frank Mir last December, defeating Dave Herman via armbar at UFC 153 in Rio.

Werdum is 8-3 since their last encounter. “Vai Cavalo” is undefeated since his UFC return earlier this year. The Brazilian jiu jitsu specialist has taken victories over Roy Nelson and Mike Russow inside the octagon.
