All that is well, ends well as the case for WBA junior welterweight champion Amir Khan and strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza. The winning trio of Khan, Freddie Roach and Ariza split up for a few months after Ariza came out and said that Team Khan had stiffed him on payments for Khan’s bout with Marcos Maidana. It got to the point where Ariza claimed that his room was broken into and his contracts with team Khan stolen by authority of Amir Khan.
Fast forward to the current and the three are back working away in preparation for Khan’s junior welterweight unification bout with Zab Judah. Judah, whom we spoke with a few weeks back poked fun at the one time on again-off again situation between trainer and fighter. He brought up the past situation between the two and offered his services to Ariza, “I am just trying to campaign for my man Alex Ariza. If you ever need good security, call me up. I know the very best.”
Of course Judah ended with a final rib at team Khan’s past ingressions, “Alex Ariza, I hope you put some good locks on your door.”
