WEC 50 is made official as it will take place Aug. 18 at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. In the main event WEC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz will face Joseph Benavidez in a rubber match of their earlier 2009 fight.
This will mark Cruz as a true champion or gate keeper as this is his first attempt at defending his Bantamweight title he earned via second-round TKO of Brian Bowles.
