Manny Pacquiao “Anytime I can announce my retirement, no problem to me”

Straight from our Fight Hub TV archives, we bring to you a one-on-one interview session fight correspondent Marcos Villegas had with Manny Pacquiao. The topic on hand had to do with retirement, and how close Pacquiao felt he was to that day. Pacquiao surprisingly talks in detail about the subject, perhaps releasing that day may come closer than expected. Michael Koncz, Pacquaio’s manager commented to us off-camera and stated that Manny would not fight past 2013.

For Pacquiao, retirement would not be a hard decision, “Anytime I can announce my retirement, no problem to me,” said the Filipino superstar. Though he would like to pass the torch to a young and upcoming fighter as he admits he loves boxing and wants to see the game off in good hands. To him it does not matter if that fighter is Filipino, Mexican or any other national background, he just wants to see a young and upcoming fighter be able to step in his shoes. Which in our opinion that will be a monumental task all in itself.
