UFC Interim Welterweight Champion Carlos Condit visiting Elgin Air Force Base March 2nd-3rd

Not only one calendar week into his reign as current welterweight champion* (interim) and Carlos Condit is giving back to the fans and people who do the most fighting out of anyone, the men and women serving in our Armed Forces. Condit, who is no stranger to being an ambassador of mixed martial arts or being in the role of a champion, is looking forward to the two day event, which will happen on March 2nd and 3rd of this year.

“It’s an honor to be able to meet with the our country’s military personnel.  They do so much for our country and protect our freedoms.  I am excited to visit Eglin Air Force Base to be able to shake the hands of the troops and thank them,” said Condit today in a press release.

The trip will be sponsored by Military Debt Management Agency, a non-profit charitable organization which assists military personnel in obtaining previously denied security clearances as well as personal budget counseling, credit education, and affordable debt management programs to active duty and retired military personnel. Those who are interested in attending the two-day event shuold know that Condit will be:signing autographs, photo sessions, Q & A with military personnel and conducting an hour long self defense course for military wives.

Breaking away from the limelight of a controversial but convincing win on the judge’s scorecards at UFC 143, “The Natural Born Killer” is going to give back to those who give everything for us. Aside from his appearances and schedule Condit may need to be prepping for an immdeiate rematch with Nick Diaz, something that should be announced as true or flase later this week from UFC president, Dana White.
