Strikeforce: Overeem vs Werdum VIDEO Predictions

The Strikeforce: Overeem vs Werdum event will finally take place this Saturday, June 18th, after being delayed for 2 months. Only two quarterfinal bouts remain in the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix Tournament before the Heavyweight King will be crowned! Be sure to tune into Showtime at 10pm ET as this event will definitely host some hard hitting action and spectacular knockouts.

For you MMA fans and sports betting aficionados, two industry insiders, BetDSI.com’s MMA Oddsmaker Nick Kalikas and MMA Match Maker Miguel Iturrate, breakdown the MMA Odds on the rest of the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix Tournament on this Episode of MMA Odds Breaker:

(The first 2:52 of this video is a recap on the Strikeforce: Fedor vs Silva event. Jump to the 2:53 mark if you just want to watch the Strikeforce: Overeem vs Werdum and Rogers vs Barnett predictions. Since the making of this video certain fights have changed i.e. Shane Del Rosario pulled out of the fight due to a car accident.)

Video Summary: Miguel Iturrate feels as though Josh Barnett, the man who single handedly caused the demise of Affliction Entertainment, a now defunct mixed martial arts promotion company, will go all the way because he is the best all around fighter. Nick Kalikas thinks that the fan favorite, Alistair “The Reem” Overeem, the current Heavyweight champion, will defend his throne. Nick mentioned that if Fabricio Werdum can somehow manage to get past Overeem, he will become his favorite to win.

Video Review: I agree that Werdum should not be underestimated as he was the fighter to recently end Fedor “The Emperor” Emelianenko’s 27 win streak. As for Josh Barnett going all the way? I doubt it. I just can’t take that guy seriously, he holds the record for being the only person in MMA history to test positive for anabolic steroids three times. Besides that, he hasn’t fought in 11 months so he is “cold.”

Strikeforce: Overeem vs Werdum MMA Betting Picks: I see the less experienced but more explosive Brett Rogers winning over Josh Barnett and the solid stand up fighting style of Alistair Overeem being too much for Fabricio Werdum to “ground.”
