StrikeForce Diaz vs. Cyborg Post Fight Video Coverage (Prangley, Walker, Souza, Castillo)

Fight Hub TV was live from the HP Pavillion at Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Cyborg in a exciting night full of action packed fights. The main event lived up to the hype as Nick Diaz put away Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos via armbar in the second round. Both Santos and Diaz went back in forth in the first round as a raucous crowd of close to ten thousand chanted to the tune of Diaz. In the semi-main event, Strikeforce middleweight champion Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza defend his middleweight belt against the heavy handed Robbie Lawler. Lawler almost put the champion away, as a slick hook put Jacare on wobbly legs. Souza, showed great resilience though, surviving the first round and displaying his “Jacare” take downs to keep Lawler on the ground for most of the second. Lawler shows adeptness in submission defense fighting off multiple advances to lead into the third round. The aggressive take downs of the champion would be too much for Lawler as he was able to get Lawler to the ground once more which ultimately led to the multiple time Brazilian Jui-Jitsu champion to sneak in a rear naked choke to successfully defend his belt.

The under card filled out with a special attraction as the genetic freak that is Herschel Walker stampeded through Scott Carson in only his second professional MMA bout. The American Kickboxing Academy trained Walker, showed great improvement and left stiffness in his movement, something he was criticized about in his last bout. Carson delivered a kick that set the former Heisman trophy winner off, as he overwhelmed his opponent with strikes that lead the bout to the ground. Walker was able to get behind his opponent and land powerful strikes to the head and body of Carson that lead the referee to save him from further damage. when asked about what is next for his mma career Walker commented, ” I am leaving that up to my coaches over there at AKA.”

Roger Gracie continues to be the Gracie to look out for in 2011. The ten time Jiu-Jitsu champion won his fourth professional bout over rugged veteran Trevor Prangley. You can criticize it was a lack luster fight but you do have to expect any Gracie that is fighting in the cage to take the fight to the ground. Gracie did just that; After a feeling out process, Gracie executed a inside trip to get the South African to the ground. From then it was only a matter of time as Gracie soon transitioned into mount position. Prangley did his best to hang on and almost did. With forty seconds left on the clock, Gracie was able to gain Prangley’s back and soon finished his much more experienced opponent with a rear naked choke.

Prangley spoke exclusively to Fight Hub TV.com on his fight with Roger Gracie, as well as undercard fighter Jenna Castillo. We also have Herschel Walker speaking about his fight with Scot Carson. Video link below! brought to you by Centurymma.com
