Show 81 Fernando Vargas, Kevin Ross, Amy Davis, Ray Sefo, and Shane Del Rosario

Tune in this Sunday for one loaded show, and I don’t mean because it’s Super Bowl Sunday and we will be drunk. I mean the line up of guests doesn’t get much better then this weeks show. We have on a boxing legend and former champ, two of the best Muay Thai fighters in the nation, one of only two people to ever knock down Semmy Schilt, and a man who is undefeated headed into the Strikeforce Heavy Weight Tournament.

Our first Guest is none other than the man who started his Pro Boxing Debut with a 14 fight win streak, and winning the title on his 15th fight.. Did I mention he also defended the title 5 times and had an amateur boxing record of 100-5… Okay if you don’t know yet I am talking about former Champ Fernando Vargas. That’s right we are bringing on our first boxer, and you know we only do it big on this show! Fernando is a guy I grew up watching dominate the Light Middleweight division. Fernando only has losses from the other huge names of the sport and the guy only had 5 in his whole career. We will talk to Fernando about growing up inside of a boxing ring his whole life, his love/hate for MMA, if he feels MMA is taking over boxing’s spot at the top of the combat sport world, his interest in getting his hands wet in the MMA pool, and the rumors of him vs. Nick Diaz. You won’t want to miss this interview… This is a huge name and honor to have a boxing legend of Fernando’s caliber on the show.

Our next two guests will be featured in Lion Fight Promotions February 12, 2011 card at the Star of the Desert Arena, in Primm, Nevada. Kevin “The Soul Assassin” Ross is the first to hit the mic with us, I just hope he doesn’t hit it to hard… Kevin took home the North American Muay Thai Fighter of the Year Award this year and is far from being satisfied. Kevin has an amazing story and an even more amazing fighting record! I can’t wait to talk to Kevin about why he started fighting (amazing story) and what keeps him pushing to be the best in the world. Kevin has also turned his attention to MMA and Pro Boxing as well as his strides in the sport of Muay Thai. Be prepared for a great interview.

Our next guest from the Lion Fight Promotions card Amy “Lil Dynamite” Davis is one bad women, if you have never heard of her you better peep game. Not only is Amy the #1 Ranked women in the U.S. for Muay Thai but she was at one point ranked #2 in the world by the WKA and #3 in the world by the WIKBA. Oh did I mention she is from Idaho Falls, ID. Yeah they do say big explosions come in little packages and Amy Davis always make sure to make that Motto true. We will talk to Amy about fighting in the U.S. and over seas. We will talk to her about training, her time in MMA and Muay Thai, as well about her upcoming fight.

“Sugar” may be our next guests nickname, but don’t think he’s sweet or got any of that sugar stuff in his shoes! I am talking about the man who is a five time Muay Thai World champion and eight time K-1 World Grand Prix Finals tournament participant, C’mon son I’m talking about Ray Sefo. Ray has done it all from Fighting in K-1 to being undefeated in MMA with a current record of 2-0. Ray is set to take on Valentijn Overeem next weekend in the first round of the Strikeforce Heavy Weight tournament. We will talk to Ray about his upcoming fight and his thoughts on the Heavy Weight Tournament bracket, his huge wins and losses in K-1. Training with Randy Couture and the rest of the team at Xtreme Couture, and so much more! If you don’t know the background on Ray Sefo let me break it down for you real quick, Ray is the only the second man to knock down Semmy Schilt, as well as one of the few if not the only who has fought professionally as a kick-boxer, boxer, and Mixed Martial Arts Fighter. So let me just tell you that Ray will have plenty for us to talk to him about!

Our last guest is another Heavy Weight making a great name for himself,he is undefeated and holds the distinction of being the first American to become the WBC Heavyweight Muay Thai Champion and has earned stoppage victories in all 10 of his professional MMA fights, including 8 via KO, and 9 in the first round. WOW, bet that’s what went through your head when you read that, but imagine what went through those guys heads… Shane Del Rosario is set to face off against Lavar Johnson for the Alternate spot in the Heavy Weight Strikeforce Tournament. We will talk to Shane about becoming the first American to accomplish becoming the WBC Champ, being undefeated headed into the Strikeforce Tournament, his actual fight against Lavar, his desire to fight Andre Arlovski, and so much more. Did I mention that Shane has only had one opponent make it out of the first round in all of his 9 fights? Oh and that guy ended up only getting to 1:07 seconds in the second round. We had Shane on the show in Anaheim and know that the dude has a personality as big as he is, so this interview will be one you wont want to miss, so make sure to tune in and call in with any questions you have for Shane or any of the guests.. 347-637-3023 Lines will be open all show and you can catch the show Sunday February 6th at 7:30 pm pst.
