Show 80 Burt Watson, Antonio Banuelos, Leonard Garcia, & The Grab Bag half-hour

Show 80 brought to you by Century MMA and you know we are going to blow the doors off every week until we get to show 100! This show is stacked and we have the line-up that ranks in the top 2 for the whole week in MMA Radio, believe that. We’ve got the busiest guy in the UFC who you might know nothing about, the man who fought for the first WEC Bantamweight Championship, the man taking on Nam Phan in an exciting rematch, and then a GrabBag for all you listeners.

Have you ever wondered how the UFC stays on track, who is in charge of keeping the fighters, cutman, corners, and everyone else on schedule? Well if I said Burt Watson would it mean much, if not that’s why you don’t know the answer to your own question. Burt Watson is the first man in and last man out at all the UFC Events. Before an event even starts Burt has his crew known as the “Buffalo Soldiers” working overtime. From getting people back and forth to the arena & the airport, and even making sure that everyone is on time for the weigh ins and for their fight, this is all part of Burt Watson’s world. You wanna talk about the stress of stepping in the cage; imagine the stress of making sure everyone is on time to step in the cage! We will talk to Burt about working in Boxing and MMA, working for Dana White and Don King, what it takes for him to be able to pull 16 hour days and manage the whole show in the sense of the word.

Back for round 2 is Antonio Banuelos, yeah that’s right we got the man set to take on Miguel Torres at UFC 126. Antonio is best known for his time in the WEC where he stacked the wins and put on amazing fights. Antonio made his WEC debut back at WEC 5, and had bounced around west coast promotions until finally making the WEC his home at WEC 19. Antonio calls the Pit his home, so you know dude is a fighter NO QUESTION, as if you didn’t already know this. Antonio is always a great interview and I am sure he has some stories since the last time we spoke. We will talk to him about training at the pit and which teammates we should keep an eye on in the upcoming year, his early years at the pit and the brutalness, his toughest fight, and one can only imagine what else we talk about.

Leonard Garcia is set to face off against Nam Phan March 26th, at Ortiz vs. Lil Nog. This will be a rematch that was very close and the second time around will promise to be fireworks. Leonard Garcia has been putting in work inside of the cage since 1999. Leonard holds a record of 15-7-1 and has fought some of the biggest names in the sport and with that being said, He has NEVER been knocked out and only submitted once. If that just doesn’t tell you this guy is a beast and willing to take one to eat one. We will talk to Leonard about the wars he has had inside the cage, who his toughest opponent has been, who he would like to get a fight with again, and who he thinks is owed a rematch (if anyone). We will also talk to Leonard about the time he took off from the sport to deal with some personal issues  back in 2008. Tune into the man that has beaten the odds more then twice and is looking to do it again against Nam Phan.
