This past weekend in Las Vegas NV, Golden Boy Promotions announced it will be putting on a September 18th card honoring the tradition of having big fights on the eve of Mexican independence. Traditionally a huge fight week, a press conference was put together a few hours before the Juan Manuel Marquez/Juan Diaz fight. It was announced that Sugar Shane Mosley would be headlining the September 18th card against contender winner Sergio Mora. Also featured on the card will be rising Mexican star Saul “Canello” Alvarez as well as Victor Ortiz. Our fight correspondent Marcos was on hand as he spoke to Shane about a Mayweather rematch, how he thought Margarito/Pacquiao would go down and how it feels to have the attendance record at the Staples Center.
