Sergio Mora will face Brian Vera on ESPN Friday Night Fights live from the Fort Worth Convention Center Arena on February 4. The card is being billed as SUPER BRAWL 2011, as the event is scheduled just two days prior to the 2011 Super Bowl at Cowboys Stadium, in Arlington, Texas. The main event on the six-bout professional fight card will feature former world champion and current #8 world ranked jr middleweight Sergio Mora (22-1-2), taking on Fort Worth’s highly regarded Brian Vera (17-5). Mora is fresh off a draw with future boxing Hall of Famer, Sugar Shane Mosley this past September 18th.
Also slated for action will be top Dallas-Fort Worth prospects Charles Hatley (17-0), Olympian Luis Yanez (4-0) and Chap Huggins (6-0-1). Their opponents as well as the remainder of the card — is to be announced. The event is being presented by Marines Promotions, in association with SPOT, Inc, of Fort Worth. Tickets for the event are to be priced at $25, $35, $50 and $125 (VIP) and will be available at all Ticketmaster locations and online at www.ticketmaster.com, beginning on Saturday, January 8th.
