Rising Mexican star Saul “Canelo” Alvarez had a open media work Thursday in Guadalajara, Mexico. “Canelo” is preparing for his September 18 fight against former welterweight champion Carlos Baldomir on Golden Boy Promotions tribute card to Mexican independence. The bi-centennial card which will also highlight Victor Ortiz vs. Vivian Harris and Shane Mosley vs. Sergio Mora at The STAPLES Center in Los Angeles.
“I’m working hard in the gym, I know that Baldomir’s a very, very strong fighter, but I’m going to do my fight. We have our strategy and I’m going to make my fight. I have a lot of confidence as well, even though he’s strong, I’m also strong and I’m going to bring that to the ring,” Said Alvarez
