Strikeforce Heavyweight Shane Del Rosario on his amateur career, top SF heavyweight and Cain Velasquez

Fight Hub TV recently took a trip down to Thousand Oaks courtesy of the Combat Fight League to check out some pretty exciting amateur fights as special guests. The night did not disappoint with special guest appearances by actor Tyler Mane, who by the way looks like a real life Viking, UFC star Travis “Hapa” Browne, Bas Rutten and Strikeforce star Shane Del Rosario. We started the night interviewing Bas in what was a pre-agreed upon five minute interview. We gotta say, bas sure had alot of energy as the interview turned into a 17 minute epic with Bas sharing stories about practicing submission moves on his wife, leaving sticky notes around his house of moves he had to learn, the hardest hit he ever received and his Chuck Norris inspired beard.

Soon after, with a little bruhaha in the Fight Hub crew we sat back and enjoyed some fights while observing the nights ring announcer in his flaming glory. We kid you not, this guy was wearing a vest with a dress shirt that had cut off sleeves with a pair of dickees and some chucks. Quite the scene. We chatted up a bit with Travis “Hapa” Browne and talked about how he felt the Strikeforce heavyweights would fair against the UFC heavyweights and more. He made some valid points, as we found out he has some sort of chick magnet attached to him, dude was totally attracting the ladies.

We finally landed upon Shane Del Rosario, rising Strikeforce heavyweight. he happened to be at the event and we did not miss a chance to pick his brain a bit on who he thinks is currently the top Strikeforce heavyweight, how he thinks the top UFC heavyweights would fair against the top Strikeforce heavyweights and his experience training with former UFC champion Brock Lesnar in Minnesota. All in all it was a random night as we are leaving out much of the crazy after party that saw a pimping midget, cougars on the prowl, chumming it up with Hapa and some other things that are very blurry!
