So yea, when we heard Forrest Griffin would be in town we jumped at the chance to see if we could talk to him, let alone have Marcos interview him. So when our photographer Freddy hit us up and told us he would be at a local friendly neighborhood bookstore, we went into full stalker mode!
Forrest was in town to promote his up coming book “”Be Ready When the Sh*t Goes Down: A Survival Guide to the Apocalypse,” which in the short few minutes we had a chance to read some excerpts from the book proved to be pretty damn hilarious. Imagine a mix of Tucker Max, “The Ultimate Man’s Survival Guide,” having a foursome with Bear Grylls and the authors of “The Alphabet Of Manliness.”
Good stuff.
So of course, we had to call Marcos, our interview guy and he went into full creepy crawler status in order to get a improvised interview with the former UFC light heavyweight champion. After lying to security, flirting with overweight book store workers and keeping a low profile, Marcos did his thang and got the interview.
We at Fight Hub of course, will be dicks and keep you waiting to see what Forrest had to say about his book, Anderson Silva, James Toney and other really random ramblings from the fighter. It is quite the amusing interview…stay tuned!
