Yonnhy Perez and Vic Darchinyan hit the scales today as their Showtime Bantamweight tournament consolation bout has been upgraded to main event status. On Monday, tournament finalist Joseph Agbeko who was scheduled to face Abner Mares collapsed and was diagnosed with a onset of sciatica.
Though the Mares/Perez bout will be moved to a later date Showtime decided to go through with their under card bout, broadcasting it as a main event this Saturday.
