Pascal And Hopkins Make Weight In Montreal

WBC light heavyweight champion Jean Pascal and challenger Bernard Hopkins stepped on the scale today to weigh in for their rematch of last December’s defense of Pascal’s title. That bout ended in a controversial draw with many insiders giving the bout to Hopkins.

Pascal weight in at 174.8 while Hopkins weighed in three times, once at 175.9 and again at 175.4. He was given two hours to make weight and finally did with a final weight of 174. Hopkins is looking to become the oldest boxer to win a significant world title, breaking the record of George Foreman when he defeated Michael Moore for the heavyweight title in 1994 at the age of 45.
