The match everyone was amped up to see has been made official. Alistair Overeem vs. Todd Duffee will be taking place at Friday’s DREAM “Dynamite!! 2010” event. DREAM officials announced today the bout is official as well as the rules for the special attraction between Shinya Aoki and K-1 MAX Japan Tournament Champion Yuichiro Nagashima. DREAM “Dynamite!! 2010” takes place at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan and will air in the U.S. on HDNet (4 a.m. ET).
The special rules for Aoki vs. Nagashima are that it will involve one three-minute kickboxing round to be followed by a five-minute MMA round. MMA gloves will be used and if no one wins via knockout or submission, the fight will be declared a draw.
Rules for the Bob Sapp vs. Shinichi Suzukawa were laid out as well. The fight will be held under MMA rules, but the fighters can not wear gloves as closed-fist strikes are not allowed, though palm strikes are.
