There are rumors going around that the fight bout between Erik “El Terrible” Morales and Juan Manuel Marquez will not move forward. The proposed bout was originally scheduled for April 9 in Las Vegas.
Multiple sources report that Marquez never signed or received a contract for the fight. To add to this Marquez is in a touchy situation with Golden Boy Promotions regarding his contract. Marquez had made it clear that he would like bigger paydays.
“If they want me to stay, they must to treat me like a champion or there will be no April fight with Morales or anyone,” said Marquez.
Yet there are other reports that Marcos Maidana has been mentioned as a possible fight for Marquez.
