Molina Jr. and Lundy on tap for title bout on July 9th on ESPN2

John Molina Jr. (20-1, 16 KO’s) will headline the July 9th card of ESPN2 Friday Night Fights as he will take on WBO/NABO Lightweight champion “Hammerin” Hank Lundy.

John Molina Jr. is rebounding from his only loss to former WBO/NABO lightweight champion Martin Honorio. The road to another title shot has been difficult but Molina has notched two solid wins just one month apart from each other earlier this year.  Stated Molina, “I am excited to get back on television and I will make sure I stay there. You learn a lot more in defeat then in victory regardless of the circumstances and it is the worse feeling in the world.  I will do everything needed to do in the ring so I never feel like that again.”

“Lundy talks a lot and as far as I’m concerned he can keep it up.  As a matter of fact, I like it.  It’s been very amusing. I’m going to do my talking in the ring and he’ll know what I mean when I walk away with the belt. I have respect for him and what he has accomplished but come fight time nothing will stop me.  I am going to do what I have to do to be victorious.”
