Bermane Stiverne vs. Deontay Wilder: ‘B. Ware’ says Wilder ‘doesn’t deserve to be in ring with me; hes not on my level’

Stiverne final presser

After an entertaining final press conference for the Bermane Stiverne versus Deontay Wilder WBC heavyweight title showdown Saturday, Jan. 17 at the MGM Grand, “B. Ware” spoke further on the fight.

Stiverne (24-1-1, 21 KOs), the WBC champ explained that Wilder (32-0, 32 KOs) doesn’t have what it takes  and that he shouldn’t even be opposite of him this weekend.

“He doesn’t deserve to be in the ring with me, it’s not his level,” Stiverne said. “Maybe one day he will be, but he don’t deserve, or have the skills to be in the ring with me.”

During the final press conference, Stiverne was uncharacteristically talkative, firing back at Wilder after he roasted him minutes before.

Stiverne mentioned a domestic dispute that Wilder was charged with in 2013, showing that he was researching his opponent ahead of their presser. Many saw that as a low blow, but it is a tactic to get inside Wilder’s head and after the comment it seemed to have done the job.

The bout is gaining even more hype after the war of words, come Saturday night if the fight lives up to the buzz generated at the press conference it should be a brutal bout, one that both fighters promised not to go the full 12 rounds.
