Matthysee pummels Corley in Argentina

Lucas Matthysee (28-1, 26 KOs) of Argentina did a bruising job on Demarcus “Chop Chop” Corley (36-16-1, 22 KOs) knocking him down eight times through out the fight which ended via TKO in round eight. The fans at the Polideportivo Vicente Polimeni in Mendoza, Argentina witnessed Matthysee working the body as Matthysee established himself as the clear dominant fighter. Corley did his best to stand his ground but hit the canvas eight total times, three of which came in the eight round. With the win Matthysee became the vacant WBO Intercontinental super lightweight champion.

In the semi-main event WBA light flyweight champion Juan Carlos Reveco (26-1, 15 KOs) won via a ten round unanimous decision over Miguel Tellez (19-14-1, 6 KOs). Judges scored the bout unanimously 100-89.
