So late last night we were digging thru some old footage in the Fight Hub archive, laughing at the many moments we have shared with various fighters in the combat sports world over the close to year and a half Fight Hub TV has been operating. We have always had a soft spot for Juan Manuel Marquez. Our fight correspondent Marcos Villegas cites the future boxing hall of famer as one of his boxing idols and this is no less true for many fans of the sport.
We were taking a look back at footage of Marquez preparing for Michael Katsidis, a bout which was a fight of the year candidate for 2010 and found a interview done with Marquez trainer and a hall of famer himself Nacho Beristain. (note: Beristain has trained 18 world champions). The interview was done in Spanish and up until now tucked away in a corner, probably by our happy go lucky interviewer as he was a bit embarrassed to share he heavily accented Spanish to the rest of the world. The contents of the video were too much to keep under wraps as Bernstain shares with us how much time he believes Marquez has left fighting.
Best of All, Beristain shares with us what he believes is the secret to beating Manny Pacquiao and tells us their are only two boxers alive on earth right now that can do so.
