Bellator Fighting Championships will make its first visit to New Jersey with Bellator 44 on May 14, 2011 at Caesars Casino Hotel in Atlantic City. The event will be headlined by reigning Bellator World Middleweight Champion Hector Lombard against dangerous Hawaiian UFC veteran Falaniko Vitale as well as a Season 4 Tournament finals pairing in a yet to-be-announced weight class.
Lombard – who holds the Bellator record for fastest KO with a six-second stoppage of Jay Silva http://bit.ly/e9WSyP – is currently riding a 21 fight unbeaten streak and boasts a professional record of 27-2-1 which includes 14 TKO or KOs. Winning eight of his last 10 fights, Vitale is currently on a three-fight win streak and brings an impressive 29-9 professional record to the fight, including 9 TKO or KOs and 16 submission victories.
