Over the past few years, PED usage in combat sports has become an hot issue. It has mainly stemmed from fighters claiming that testing procedures athletic commissions have in place are a complete farce. Over the past few years we have seen fighters such as Chael Sonnen, Cyborg Santos, Nate Marquardt and others busted for using doping agents.
Recently Strikeforce light-heavyweight “King” Mo Lawal was busted for using the anabolic steroid Drostanolone at the January 7 “Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine” event. He took on then undefeated Lorenz Larkin and eventually won via TKO. When test results came back, Lawal denied having used the drug but it was later reported that the substance was in a supplement he took. Our Fight Hub TV correspondent Dustin De La Torre caught up with Lorenz Larkin at a local show where the fighter shares his thoughts on Lawal’s positive test and more!
