Krzysztof Soszynski shares memories of legends “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, Sabu, “King Kong” Bundy And More

When people see and think of Krzysztof Soszynski many thoughts came to mind. “The polish experiment” is certainly a intimidating figure, mimicking the look of a cyborg or some sort of super solider ala a Van Damme movie. Given his bloody battles in the UFC with Stephan Bonner, Goran Reljic you would think he was some seek and destroy killer.

Looks can be deceiving.

In person Soszynski is one of the nicest and kindest guys you will meet in the sport of MMA. He also backs quite a interesting story that could be made into a New York Times best seller and shared with us that in fact before fighting he was a power lifter and weighed over 280 pounds! Insane right? but to make things more wacky, is the fact that after power lifting did not work out for Soszynski, he turned the only viable money making option for him at the time. Bar tending you might say or a club bouncer, wrong dear sir. Soszynski moonlighted as a pro wrestler for a bit in Canada. Meeting and training with such legends as Sabu, “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, Chris Jericho, “King Kong” Bundy among others. The move did not last long, while being mentored under “Bad News” Brown, Brown introduced some simple submission moves to Soszynski who was immediately hooked. it prompted him to leave the wacky world of sports entertainment and enroll into a jiu-jitsu school and the rest is now history.

We like to say he made the right choice, as we could not imagine Soszynski in a super tight leotard getting hit over the head with chairs, but hey you never know?
