Khan continues Reign With Win Over McCloskey

Amir Khan successfully defended his WBA light welterweight belt by easily defeating challenger Paul McCloskey in six rounds via a technical decision. Those in attendance at the MEN Arena in Manchester certainly were looking for more of a fight as well as those of us back here in the states and around the world. Khan was clearly in a different league than McCloskey as his speed and combination punching pushed the scoring in his favor easily winning all five round before the stoppage.

The two would butt heads which opened a cut over the left eye of McCloskey. It forced the referee to stop the bout via doctors advice. The scores were 60-54 on all three judges scorecards.
