So with the Frankie Edgar and Ben Henderson result behind us, we move onto the next UFC card taking place in a land down under. In this place from down under, women glow and men plunder and oddly you can hear thunder. So we are making sure we take cover the night of March 2 as Martin Kampmann and Thiago Alves look to drop bombs on each other. Oh yea, by the way, the card is taking place in Australia and thanks to Men At Work for inspiring that last sentence.
So back to fireworks. We had a chance to speak to Kampmann himself who is promising a aggressive fight with “The Pitbull,” behind his controversial loss to Diego Sanchez. Fight correspondent Dustin De La Torre talks to Kampmann about his training camp, people he brought in to mimic Alves and more. Kampmann promises he is here to finish fights and tells us “I will finish Thiago Alves.”
