Zab “Super” Judah began his comeback trail at the welterweight division by easily out classing game challenger Jose Armando Santa Cruz via TKO in round 3. Judah looked trimmed and sleeked back at his natural weight class of 140lbs. Always quick at the trigger, Judah boxed from the outside using his Jab to force a counter shot. It eventually came as the loopy and wild punches of Cruz eventually led him to leaning in a little bit too much and was caught by Judah’s trademark left upper. Those at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ jumped to their feet as the upper immediately sent Santa Cruz to the canvas. The rugged Mexican veteran rose but was still visibly hurt as Judah went in for the TKO win with a straight followed by a barrage of hooks that ended the bout at 2:33.
