As first reported via The Canadian Press, UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones will not be facing number one contender Rashad Evans at UFC 133. Though not officially announced by the UFC, sources have reported that Jones, who suffered a torn right hand ligament in his win over former champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua is still rehabilitating the injury and is not on track to be cleared for the bout.
Upcoming stand out Phil Davis will now step in as a replacement to face Evans at UFC 133 which is expected to take place August 6th in Philadelphia.
