Hydra Lacey, brother of Jeff Lacy involved in gun battle; Killed in fire fight

Reports are coming in that the brother of Jeff “Left Hook” Lacy has been involved in a gun battle with police that ultimately lead to the death of two Florida police officers, a wounded U.S. Marshall and ultimately the suspect shot dead by police.

A police spoke person said that Hydra Lacy was found dead in his home Monday afternoon. Lacy was scheduled for a November trial on an aggravated battery charge and was on the record for convictions of sexual battery and other crimes.

According to a Fighthubtv.com correspondent who was on the scene, Lacy was suspected of being a big time drug operator, though we can not fully confirm this. Police had went to the Lacy home to serve out a warrant for a aggravated battery charge. Police met with Lacy’s wife who answered the door and she informed them that Lacy was home. Police entered the house and Lacy fired rounds from his attic. He wounded three officers, shooting one in the head, two in the chest and a dog.

Eyewitness reports say shots were fired back and forth and police eventually rammed the front door and drove through the house to get the officers out who were shot. Tear gas and stun grenades were thrown into the house at about 10:30 am, at that point shots ceased to fire inside the house.
