Helenius to defend EU Heavyweight Title against Attila Levin

Robert Helenius will make a first defence of his EU Heavyweight Title against Attila Levin in Helsinki on November 27. The Nordic Nightmare (13-0, 8 KOs) will take on his experienced Swedish opponent (34-3, 27 KO) at the famous Hartwall Areena, which on the same night hosts the decisive Super Six World Boxing Classic clash between King Arthur Abraham and Carl “The Cobra” Froch.

While Abraham and Froch determine the new WBC Super-Middleweight Champion, Helenius is set to defend his title for the first time. “We have big plans for Robert,” Sauerland Event sports director Hagen Doering said at today´s press conference in Helsinki. “He has already proven his talents and this will be another big test for him. Levin is very experienced and strong, but if Robert listens to coach Ulli Wegner, he will definitely beat him. He will continue his impressive development with a big victory over Levin.”

Helenius started the year with a spectacular TKO win over former WBO Heavyweight Champion Lamon Brewster. He then earned a points victory over Gbenga Oloukun before knocking out Gregory Tony to clinch the vacant EU Heavyweight Title in August. “I really look forward to fighting in front of my great Finnish fans,” Helenius said. “I feel great and I am very confident. I have the best trainer in the world and he believes in me, which gives me a big boost. I am prepared for 12 hard rounds against Levin and I will do what I have to do to beat him.”
