Georges St-Pierre vs. Nick Diaz Is Set Homies

This is where MMA has learned from boxing. When fans demand a fight in MMA they are listened too and not ignored or pushed to the side by promotional politics or fighter ego. Yea, I’m referring to the inability for Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao to fight each other, but that is a different topic for a different day.

Since the defeat of Jake Shields via Georges St-Pierre at UFC 129 fans have been raving for a superfight unification bout between Strikeforce welterweight champion Nick Diaz and UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre. Both fighters have gone on undefeated runs as of recent and today UFC president Dana White tweeted that on October 29th the two will collide in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay as the main event of UFC 137.

Be prepared homies, this could be St-Pierre biggest test as he faces someone with a longer reach, better hands and a better ground game than himself. Will Pierre enlist the help of Freddie Roach to nullify Diaz’s jab and body work combinations? You bet your ass. Now that I think of it he will enlist Renzo Gracie as well as he helped the Canadian pretty boy for his bout with fellow Cesar Gracie team member Jake Shields.

Can anyone say family feud?
