Yuriorkas Gamboa had a rough and tough twelve round battle with Orlando Salido at the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas, NV. Gamboa, the WBA champion scored a unanimous decision over Salido with judges scoring the bout 116-109, 114-109, 115-109.
The bout was mostly controlled by Gamboa, hurting Salido in round ten and knocking him down twice in round twelve. Gamboa though was deducted points in that final round accidentally hitting a downed Salido. Salido seemed hurt with many of Gamboa’s strikes but scored a knockdown in round eight.
