Show 72 takes us to California for a full-show dedicated to what has been called one of the premier West-coast MMA promotion, yeah that’s right I’m talking Tachi Palace. With Christmas fast approaching it’s time to DECK THE HALLS for Tachi Palace 7. This show is loaded with talent, we got on the man who held the fastest KO in the UFC putting his opponent to sleep in 8 seconds, The #1` Flyweight in the world, The Current Champ, and a big-show veteran banging it out for a belt.
Our first guest didn’t get the nickname cause he tucked people into bed, but more like cause he put their a$$ to sleep! James Irvin has some very heavy hands, ask anyone of the 11 people he sprinkled his dust on if you don’t believe me. James is fighting in the main event of Tachi Palace Fights 7. He will be taking on Jorge Oliveira who is a dangerous man on the ground. We will talk to James about smashing people’s faces, his NC from falling out the cage, being a 2X HW champ, and much more.
You want to say you know who the #1 Flyweight in the world is, but if anyone but Danny Martinez’s name comes out your mouth I might have to tell you to bite your tongue… After Jussier da Silva and Danny square off at TPF 7 there won’t be any question as to who the baddest 125lb fighter in the world will be. With a record of 13-3 and his losses only coming from decisions, CMON! We will talk to Danny about fighting up at 135 lbs for the WEC, Sparring with Dom Cruz, Being one of the smaller guys at Alliance, his huge fight coming up, and plenty more.
Isaac De Jesus is first up in the second hour and I won’t complain starting off any hour with the champ! Not only is De Jesus, the local favorite, but this is his third fight with the promotion… Oh did I mention he also is the champ? Isaac is coming off a loss to Razor Rob. Before that though he did what no one on The Ultimate Fighter Season 12 has done yet, and that is TKO Nam Phan. We will talk to him about moving up in weight to fight Razor Rob, TKO’ing Nam Phan, Having his name chanted during his fights, and whatever else comes up!
Lastly we got on the man who is coming to Tachi to claim the vacant welterweight title. John Alessio is a kat who has been around the MMA Block. John has competed for the biggest and best promotions including WEC, UFC, PRIDE, KOTC, MFC and DREAM. Now John has his eyes set on the gold at TPF 7, he will be taking on Phil Collins. Alessio is riding a 6 fight win streak, with one of his last two fights being against the fighter formally known as WarMachine. We will talk to John about his fights against every big name in the sport he has fought, fighting for TPF, and so much more as John has been around a while and I’m sure has some stories.
