FIGHT HUB TV Presents FIST-ta-CUFF Radio Show 93 W/ Shamar Bailey, Cosmo Alexandre, Gabe Ruediger, & Gilbert Melendez

Show 93 and we are mixing things up like the show was a punch bowl at a junior high party. IT’S LOADED! Real talk we got some of the best in the game on this show. From our man who stops by the Shop every week to chop it up about TUF13, A World Class Striker in Muay Thai who is making his US Debut May 14th, A man known as Godzilla, and we bring the man many are calling the #1, 155lb fighter in the world into the shop!

Our first guest Shamar Bailey is back to do his thing like he does every week. Last week we saw Shamar get blamed for writing messages in the sand. I can’t wait to see what this week holds. Shamar is still in the running to make it to the finals and this week we get to see the last two fights to make it to the next round. This season is just now beginning to heat up between Shamar’s coaches and I think this week we get to see some drama. We will talk to Shamar about everything that has happened up to this point and what we get to see on this week’s episode. Shamar seems to be fairly close to his Coach Lew Polley, and this week Shamar’s roommate released an article where he showed his lack of love for Coach Polley. I can guarantee that we will talk to Shamar about this as well. Tune in and get ready to get your weekly fix of TUF13. Follow Shamar at @ShamarBailey on twitter.

Wrapping things up the first hour we have a man who has fought the best of the best in the world of Muay Thai and has been able to stand with the best. Cosmo Alexandre is a name that if it doesn’t ring bells for you, he has rung plenty of other peoples! Cosmo is considered one of the best in the world when it comes to the art of 8 limbs. Cosmo won the 2009 WMC/S1 King’s Cup Challenger tournament champion and in 2010 took runner-up. (Did I mention he left his “Its Showtime” Belt to take part in the tournament?) and many believe that Cosmo won the 2010 King’s Cup fight! If you don’t know or haven’t heard Cosmo has a mean flying knee and from what I have seen GSP and John Bones both have pictures out with Cosmo and I have heard Cosmo is bringing the best Muay Thai the sport has seen in recent years possibly over to MMA! We will talk to Cosmo about his feats in the art of eight limbs, what it means to be making his US Debut after all these years, what Muay Thai is to him and how he feels about having a Muay Thai background going into the mma scene? If you’re in Las Vegas, get your tickets now for May 14th in Primm, Nevada where Cosmo makes his US Debut with Lion Fight Promotions.

Our next guest is known as Godzilla and he might treat the shop like Japan in a movie from the 1980’s. Gabe Ruediger is stopping by the show to talk about his career to this point and much more. You might remember Gabe from his time on The Ultimate Fighter and even though I had my questions the guy has proven he is a fighter! Gabe went on a 6 fight win streak before getting the call back up to the UFC. Gabe dropped two fights and was released, I have to admire Gabe as he expressed honest emotion in his blog on the loss. We will talk to Gabe about what is next in his career, the emotions of being a fighter, how we could be seeing the best Gabe Ruediger yet to come. Gabe has a crazy story on his entry into mma from a trip to Brazil, followed by a stop in Thailand. Gabe lost his first fight, but went on to win nine in a row. Gabe has worn the gold of the WEC, fought in the UFC, and was a member of The Ultimate Fighter, and there’s plenty more! We will talk to Gabe about getting his Black Belt, his entry into the sport, his future, and what he wants to achieve at this point in his career.

What a better way to end the show then to have the man who owns the Strikeforce 155lb. Belt close up the shop. Yeah BOYYYEEEEE we got Gilbert “El Nino” Melendez in to talk tons of ish with us. Gilbert Melendez is one of the top 3 155lb. fighters in the world and if you ask him, Strikeforce or UFC it doesn’t matter cause he’s the best in the world and plenty of people would agree at the tip of a hat. You have to remember Gilbert has only lost 2 fights in his career and he’s avenged both of them, with an exclamation point or two!! Melendez has one submission win on his 21 fight record, so just know if he isn’t knocking you out; he’s just going to beat you up the whole fight. Gilbert just defended his title in April and dominated Kawajiri. We will talk to Gilbert about his upcoming documentary that he filmed with the rest of the Skrap Pack, you know we gotta talk about the loyalty of the Skrap Pack and how it’s a family of guys. I gotta ask Gilbert about the UFC buyout and if he is just tired of playing the Strikeforce Game and ready for the UFC! You know this show doesn’t pull punches and neither does Gilbert Melendez so be ready for a hard hitting interview that promises to be as good as it’s going to get!
