With the announcement of Strikeforce’s heavyweight tournament now official, Strikeforce is busy planning reserve bouts for the confirmed Feb. 12 date. Graduating from the challenger series, Shane Del Rosario (10-0 MMA, 2-0 SF) will face Lavar Johnson (15-3 MMA, 3-0 SF) in a heavyweight tournament reserve matchup.
The match up was first reported by espn.com and later confirmed by figthubtv.com with Rosario’s management.
The site for the match up and heavyweight tournament will be at the Izod Center in New Jersey. Headliners for the card will be Fedor Emelianenko vs. Antonio Silva and Andrei Arlovski vs. Sergei Kharitonov.
