(Los Angeles, June 8th) Professional MMA fighter and Las Vegas native Michele “Diablita” Gutierrez has officially signed on to be a featured spokesperson for Coalition Fight Music’s “Man Up” Campaign against Human Trafficking. An undefeated Professional boxer turned MMA poster girl, Michele was the first female fighter to earn a spot on Pride/UFC Legend Wanderlei Silva’s Wand Fight Team. Recently, “Diablita” was chosen to star with Felice Herrig and former UFC Lightweight Champion Jens Pulver in this summer’s highly anticipated Supremacy MMA video game.

Michele Gutierrez says: “As a mother of a little girl I couldn’t imagine my daughter being exposed to the evil of human trafficking. As a fighter I’ve always felt inclined to stand up for those who can’t protect themselves. It’s not just going on overseas, it’s happening right here in the land of the free.”

Tony Savo (CFM CEO/Producer) says: “Michele is a dynamic athlete and individual who really cares and has a heart for the kids. Now that she’s one of the first WMMA (Women’s Mixed Martial Arts) fighters to star in a video game, she’s using her new found fame to touch lives and push the sport outside the cage.”

Anton Skoro (Host/FIST-ta-CUFF Radio, Las Vegas) says: “Everyone knows behind the glitz and glam, there’s a dark side to Vegas and now the MMA community is becoming aware and getting involved.”

The premise of the “Man Up” campaign is to have well known mixed martial artists raising awareness of Human Trafficking/child sexual exploitation occurring here in the U.S.

Human trafficking is defined as: The recruitment, transportation, transfer, harboring or receipt of persons, by means of the threat or use of force or other forms of coercion, of abduction, of fraud, of deception, of the abuse of power or of a position of vulnerability or of the giving or receiving of payments or benefits to achieve the consent of a person having control over another person, for the purpose of exploitation. Exploitation shall include, at a minimum, the exploitation of the prostitution of others or other forms of sexual exploitation, forced labor or services, slavery or practices similar to slavery, servitude or the removal of organs.
