Shane Carwin has announced via his website that surgery and a back injury will force him out of a co-main event fight with Roy Nelson at UFC 125.
The fighter stated that he went in for a MRI on Monday and the results pointed out the injury that may require surgery.
“If the doctors do not have to perform surgery, then I will be out eight to 12 weeks, If they do have to perform surgery, I do not know how long I will be out of action,” Carwin wrote on his website.
