Carl Froch “Johnson is perfect for me. He’s made for me”

This up coming Saturday, June 4th WBC super middleweight champion Carl “The Cobra” Froch  will go head to head against former world champion Glen Johnson in the semi final of the Showtime Super Six Super Middleweight Tournament. The winner will face undefeated and current WBA world champion Andre Ward.

Froch participated in a open media workout today and spoke of his impending match with Johnson.

“Rachael (Cordingley) texted me that our son, Rocco, is walking. He took his first steps and I missed it. And I’m going to take that out on Johnson,” said a fit and confident Froch, who boasted Tuesday about being only two pounds over the 168-pound limit after a big breakfast and just eating lunch. “Johnson is perfect for me. He’s made for me. He’ll be right there, right in front of me.

“The winner of this fight is going to the Final of the best boxing tournament in the world, the Super Six World Boxing Classic. And the winner is going to be me. I heard Johnson’s team talking about an easy fight. They can think what they want. I’m not concerned with that rubbish.”

The undercard of Froch vs. Johnson will also feature the return of ex-world champion Mikkel Kessler as he takes on world-ranked Mehdi Bouadla.
