Adrien Broner vs. Emmanuel Taylor: Full Showtime card weigh-in results

Adrien “The Problem” Broner will fight in his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio for the first time in two years Saturday when he takes on Emmanuel Taylor at the US Bank Arena.

The two fighters have been jawing at each other leading up to the bout and it spilled over Thursday at the final press conference when the two engaged in a shoving match that included Broner choking Taylor for a moment.

With the bad blood between the two seemingly growing each day, the main event of the Showtime triple-header should be an action packed one, full of punches with ill intent.

Broner (28-1, 22 KOs) is coming in off his bounce back win against Carlos Molina on the undercard of “The Moment” undercard that was headlined by Floyd Mayweather Jr. versus Marcos Maidana.

Taylor (18-2, 12 KOs) on the other hand lost to Manny Pacquiao’s Nov. 22 for Chris Algieri earlier this year, only to avenge that loss with a solid win over the up-and-coming Karim Mayfield in July.

On the co-feature hard-hitting Lucas Matthysse (35-3, 33 KOs) will face the undefeated Roberto Ortiz (31-0-1, 24 KOs) in a 140-pound showdown.

Broner called out Matthysse at Thursday’s presser and if the two are victorious Saturday night, they could very well meet in their next bouts.

Also featured is the return of Andre Berto who has been dormant from the ring for over a year due to a shoulder injury when he faces Steve Upsher Chambers.

Berto (28-3, 22 KOs) was shocked in his last bout against Jesus Soto Karass when he was knocked out in the 12th round of their bout. Chambers (24-3-1, 6 KOs) enters this contest on a two fight losing streak, losing his last time out to Eddie Gomez via Round 4 TKO in August of last year.
