Sergio Martinez has decreed in interviews that he will stop Miguel Cotto in nine rounds on June 7th at Madison Square Garden. Today at The Wild Card gym, Freddie Roach fired back, saying that his man will only need four to stop the middleweight champion of the world.
Cotto vs. Martinez is perhaps the most competitive of the scheduled boxing pay-per-views up to this point as big questions surround both men coming into their fight. Roach, in speaking with our Layzie The Savage is confident in the work he has done with Cotto and feels that the size and style of the mobile Martinez will not supercede the gameplan he has put together for June 7th.
