After pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s latest victory over Marcos Maidana earlier this month the world thought they would have to wait until September to see the 46-0 boxer in a fight again.
Well, it turns out Mayweather kind of, sort of got into a fight with rapper T.I. at a Fatburger on the Las Vegas Strip early Sunday morning.
According to TMZ.com, T.I. confronted Mayweather as he enjoyed his late night grub, then proceeded to take a swing at the undefeated champ.
According to several witnesses … Floyd was eating inside the restaurant when T.I. walked up and started jawing at Floyd.
It’s unclear what caused the beef, but we’re told T.I. swung at Floyd … their giant bodyguards jumped in to separate them … and then the all out melee began.
Las Vegas PD arrived just as Floyd was leaving and we’re told T.I. was already gone.
So, although a punch was reportedly thrown, nothing of real significance was landed and it turned into a big raucous as their respective body guards kept the two separated.
There is no word on what exactly started the whole ordeal, but a picture surfaced of “Money” and T.I.’s wife Tiny together last night, but is unclear in what context the two were enjoying each other’s company. You can hear Mayweather yelling, “Control your bitch” in the melee, so it appears to have something to do with T.I.’s better half.
Despite Ice Cube grabbing Fatburger at two in the morning in his hit song “Good Day”, it looks like the after midnight scuffle might have gotten Mayweather and T.I.’s Sunday off to a bad start.
