Count Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the running to potentially be an owner of the LA Clippers. Today in Las Vegas at his grand arrivals for his bout with Marcos Maidana at the MGM Grand, Mayweather revealed to a room full of reporters that him and a group of investors are very interested in potentially buying the NBA franchise.
Wether he is serious or not, just mentioning that he is interested in purchasing the franchise during a time in which the team is embroiled in controversy is genius on Mayweather’s part. Not only will his interest make headlines, it will give Mayweather vs. Maidana that much more extra publicity which could lead to extra sales of the PPV on Saturday night.
Of course, Mayweather did talk about the very reason he is at the MGM. As in this video scrum he talked Maidana and his power, Manny Pacquiao and being given a four hundred thousand dollar watch by The MGM Grand.
