Alfonso Gomez has a message for Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., “Im going to Knock you out!”

Part rapper, part musician and all fighter, Alfonso Gomez has had a great career in boxing that was sprung forth by NBC’s “The contender.” Since then Gomez has gone up and down with competition. He surprisingly beat Peter Manfredo Jr. only to lose to him in the rubber match. Gomez then went on to fight a few build up matches before he thoroughly beat up the legend that is Arturo Gatti. He met Cotto, got knocked down and around by the Puerto Rican’s jabs and eventually the fight was called off. Since then Gomez has been on a four fight win streak, with notable wins over Jesus Soto Karass and Jose Luis Castillo.

On December 4th, Gomez is being given another chance for not only a title but to prove to all those Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. doubters that the son of the legend is just a flash in the pan. A fraud and a farce making a name of his fathers legacy. For Chavez Jr., who recently teamed up with Freddie Roach, Gomez will be a tough test on the road to finally gaining the respect of fans and doubters alike.

We caught up with both fighters earlier in the week and talked to them how they both felt about the fight. Both men certainly believe that they have what it takes to beat each other and Gomez is expect nothing short of a knock out. Check out as our fight correspondent Marcos, talked to Gomez about Chavez Jr., how he feels he is being overlooked and what fans can expect on December 4th at the Honda Center in Anaheim!
