Bellator MMA made it’s long awaited debut on Spike TV on Thursday night as the promotion put on two world title fights emanating from The Bren Events Center in Irvine, CA. The reigning lightweight champion Michael Chandler made short work of former judo Olympian Rick Hawn, as he used his wrestling to keep the judo standout grounded for much of the first round. He would end things quickly in the 2nd, as he would submit Hawn via rear naked choke to defend his title.
