Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler is tired of talking about Eddie Alvarez, and he wants you to know that instead of thinking about Chandler/Alvarez 2 you should be paying attention to his super important title defense this Thursday on Spike TV against Rick Hawn. The Judo Olympian and the 2012 Bellator Lightweight tournament winner has to biggest match up of his life in challenging Chandler, whom looks to put on a show for those tuning in on Spike.
Marcos Villegas caught up with Chandler yesterday at the Bellator open workouts as the champ talked the styles Hawn and himself bring to the cage tomorrow in Irvine, ” He is coming in with a lot of confidence in his Judo, I am coming in with a lot of confidence in my wrestling. I am very confident in my stand up, my hands have gotten a ton better even since my last fight and since the transition over to Alliance MMA. I would like to be on a great show there (standing) and mixing in takedowns because there is nothing better than taking someone down and beating them on top.”
