Oscar De La Hoya a former six-division title holder knows boxing as good as anyone, but cracking the code to beat Floyd Mayweather is something neither he or any of the other 42 fighters who faced Money May have found success in doing.

De La Hoya is on to something suggesting that Robert Guerrero make the fight a physical fight with Mayweather. Mayweather stood in front of his last opponent, Miguel Cotto, and took the most punishment we have seen him take his entire career.

If Guerrero is able to make their bout scheduled to take place Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden arena a brawl he will better his chances at pulling out the big upset.

Mayweather is less likely to move around the ring as much as he did when he was younger, but if Money May can mix some overly-defensive style in with a more aggressive style, picking his spots for both, he will open up spots to land knockout-worthy blows; as Guerrero could become agitated with the running and let it all go when Mayweather decides to stand toe-to-toe.

No matter what the strategy Guerrero chooses to unleash Saturday night, one of the many things Mayweather excels at in the ring more than most is in-fight adapting to different styles.

If Guerrero chooses to be aggressive, the counter-punching prowess of Mayweather will be on full display. If Guerrero chooses to be more reserved and forcing Mayweather to walk him down and force the action, Mayweather will not shy away from doing so.

No matter how you cut it, Guerrero will have his work cut out for him if he wants to make the fight competitive. How Guerrero responds to Mayweather’s adapting and head games in the ring will be key to If we see a shutout, knockout or a close decision after 12 rounds are complete.
