Mike Alvarado mentioned Al Haymon and Danny Garcia in his scrum today? and he mentioned being approached about leaving Top Rank to go to Golden Boy and take on their much deeper 140lbs division? Say whaaaaat? Yeah…it’s true..it’s true (Kurt Angle plug for you wrasslin guys). Today marked the opening press conference for Alvarado’s match with Juan Manuel Marquez on May 17th. Alvarado talked a bit about wanting to seek redemption on his loss to Ruslan Provodnikov via a win against Marquez but the most interesting quote of the day was the whole Haymon and Danny Garcia bit.
